Creating a Specification

The Specifications section allows you to create detailed descriptions about the properties or requirements of a component or a product. These specifications help to ensure that products meet quality and safety standards.

To add a new Specification, select the Quality Dashboard module under Quality from the horizontal menu, then navigate to the Specifications tab.

Click the + Specification button.

Enter a name for the specification in the Specification Name field, then indicate the product or component that the specification applies to in the Specification For field. These fields are required.

Next, you can work with the preexisting section types of Identity, Purify, Strength, Composition, or Limits on Contaminants, or you can add your own sections. If you don't want to use the preexisting sections, click the trash can icon on the right side to delete them.

To add your own sections, click the Add New Section button.

Next, enter a Parameter Name, Specification Name, and Test Method.

To add another test in the same section, click the +Add Test button again.

Once you have added all desired information to the specification, click Submit. The specification you created will now appear in the Specifications list view on the Quality Dashboard, and can be linked to other modules throughout other areas of ezGMP.
