Review Formula & Allocate Ingredients
Review Formula
- The top section of this step includes production details, including the Formula Name, Product Name, Customer(s), Sales Order #(s), # of Capsules per Bottle, PD #, Production Output Unit, Batch Size, Production Start Date, Expiration Date, and Estimated Overage. Here, you can review preselected details, and make changes to select fields.
- For the Expiration Date, auto-fill will be auto-selected. To manually enter an Expiration Date, switch the toggle to the off position, then type a date into the text field, or select a date from the dropdown calendar.
Allocate Ingredients
- In the Ingredients section, all of the ingredients needed to produce the product will automatically be listed.
- You can manually allocate materials from the available inventory for each ingredient by clicking the selection box in the Selected Available Inventory column. This action opens a tab that lists all available inventory for that ingredient. To add it to the batch, select the checkbox next to the desired inventory item, then click Add.
- Alternatively, you can click Auto Select to allocate materials automatically. This function uses the first-in, first-out (FIFO) method for inventory selection.
- Once you've completed material selection, you can click Save to save the planned batch, click Review to generate a PDF of the Master Batch Record (MBR), click Done Planning to schedule the batch for production, or Exit to leave the module without saving the planned batch.
